John Butler Trio are probably known (WA), Eskimo Joe (Perth boys ;)), probably stuff you've heard of as well...

Have you seen Napoleion Dynamite? Jamiroquai does the song during the crazy dance scene in the auditorium (Canned Heat).

Jamiroquai, whether you love it or hate it, should at least be given credit for creating something you can:
A) understand the words to.
B) can play in public.

I like some of his songs, but not all. Its a nice change of pace every once in awhile.
