de

Maybe 4 business days. They send an email w/ tracking # and it will have an estimated delivery date on it(which was right for me)

Yep I`m using the Everglide Giganta normal black pad which works great with my old Logitech optical(I really should order the MX500/700 once I make my mind up on which model ;)) btw did you get the normal Giganta or the new Optical version?

I do not use a mouse pad.

mrman3k you should try the Everglide Giganta Optical pad with your MX700 ,you`ll be shocked on how much better it `s then your desktop surface ;).

:)

True, but I dont want any extra surface above my desk. What I would like to do is possibly get the material that they use for the mouse pads and stick it to my keyboard tray for the mouse, now I think that would be the ultimate solution for me.

I use a free Agilent Techologies mousepad to do my hardcore minesweeping with my ultra precise Logitech Mouseman.

dell hard surface mouse pad for me for the following reasons:
1) it's free
2) does it even matter?

spend that dough for a gel wrist pad for prolonged period of gaming

and gaming for 3 days straight is bad for your health!

if you need a gel wrist pad, then, frankly, you are lazy. And you'll probably have wrist trouble down the road - same reason no one recommends wrist rests for keyboards.

As to mouse pads for games, I'm using a medium size cloth and rubber right now, but i'm looking at updating my setup, especially since i'm moving down my CS mouse sensitivity from 18 to the 3-5 range (big difference in mouse pad real estate used...). I'm looking at the fUnc right now, but i've never seen the ice mat thing. Also, no ratpads are for sale right now pending the release of the GS series (designed more for optical's, which i have).

Believe it or not, I use a piece of paper taped to my desk. Works great with my optical mouse. (Cheap too ;) )

I currently use the Ratpadz (which I love) but it's starting to wear out on me, so when Everglide had the 1.00 a mousepad sale about a month ago, I ordered 10 of those, which should last me about 8 years or so :p

No feedback on the Everglide yet, but the ratpadz was wonderful for the year of so of heavy (and I mean heavy) gaming I put it though.

Er, I used a cloth + rubber thing for 6 years, and never noticed any wear. This machine here has had a plastic dell one for two years, and I can't find any wear on it either. you guys have got to be kidding me about your pads wearing out, right?

There`s a new review of the SteelPad here
Conclusion

If you have been on the market for a mouse pad that will last as long as you own a mouse, then the Steelpad is an excellent choice. I wouldn't have thought that a mouse pad can make such a difference. Everything I threw at the Steelpad worked flawlessly with pure smoothness.

I give the Steelpad 3S mouse pad a?

9/10! GAMERS GALORE! The Steelpad is a Gamers MUST! You have to use it to believe it!

So worth a look if you`re after a new pad that will last a very long time.

im telling you it's all about the ICEMat... http://www.nextgenelectronics.com/icemat.shtml

been thru every single one of those above mentioned mousepads... everglide, everglide giganta, func1030 .. everyone of those wore out on me in less than 1 year. this icemat pad is made of glasS!! won't ever wear out and looks super cool. also opticals work perfectly fine on it!! down with everglide, func and those other mousepads that are like chopping boards and wear out!!

YA but they are ment for a mouse not to chop carrots on :).

had my func for 2+ years on the coarse side...not worn out for me....they wear out because of no teflon tape on mouse feet...

get the func....has 2 sides to choose from...

So you are saying that its the teflon tape on the feet that caused several people to NOT recommend the func due to it wearing out the pad? Or the other way around?

he's saying the tape will not make the mousepad wear out... but i disagree... i had those 'mouse skates' (pretty much just expensive tape) and they wore out my everglide and 1 the rough side of the func pad. i didn't like the smooth side so, i gave it away. but i'm just saying it'll still wear out over time. unless ur mousepad is made of glass... like the icemat.
