The basic optical MS wheel mouse. I'll never buy another ball mouse again.

I also have 2 regular old MS wheel mice, but I don't use them unless I'm messing around with a second computer.

Laser != LED

All the LED does is illuminate the surface so the optical sensor can read it.

I liked my old cordless Logitech ps2 mouse. The new USB replacemen has been more trouble than it's worth. I have had no problems with the keyboard at all.

IMHO
As far as overall goodness it's still hard to beat a regular M$ corded mouse. Cheap, no batteries and they last forever.

A4Tech GreatEye Optical Mouse. 5 buttons, 2 wheels. It replaced my trusty old Logitech. Great mouse and it costs only about 10$.

i have the Logitech Mouseman optical cordless that came with the Logitech Freedom Optical set. i like that mouse way better than my first generation MS Intellimouse Explorer in which the bottom LED became flaky at best. which reminds me i still need to RMA that sucker.

Chalk another one up for the Logitech cordless optical! And I dunno who said it, but it rocks for gaming! Very precise!

Was wondering what you guy have and what you recommend... I heard the cordless opticals are really bad cuz they use up all your batter trying to light the laser.

Flame on! :D

Cordless mice SUCk! Ive had 2 and they were both laggy as hell and rarely accurate.

Also drain the batts..

Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer, MS Intellimouse, and Razer Boomslang 1000 at home.

Logitech Mouseman Wheel at work.

I don't like the logitech at work. The MS Explorer is ok, not the greatest. i love my Razer. :)

Logitech USB Mouseman Optical Pro w/ immersion...It's OK I guess.

Really upset me since the resolution was no better than a cheapo PS/2 Wheelmouse.

The Immersion desktop is cool but like a few others here, I rarely use it except in gaming which is the only reason I don't chuck it!

I did get a good deal on it though...$24.00 at Big Lots. Figures it's a closeout, huh?

her209 - I would recommend getting this mouse, it's one of the best optical mice out there and a great value. Wait and order after Sunday 5/19 when they're having a HUGE SALE, get your order up to $50 or $100 and save even more with a coupon.
