what kind of memory do I need?not found on newegg?

I looked at what RAM this iMac uses. On it, it said "100mhz" but I don't see it on newegg. Was I reading the right thing? This iMac is really old, with only 64 mb right now. What should I do? I don't want to order from the apple store because of beaurocracy I have to get through to buy from another vendor (I'm buying a lot from newegg).

Should I buy slightly faster RAM and lose the additional speed (if that's how it even works)?

bump. please help me out here, this is important for me to know. It wouldn't be so good for me if I put some RAM on the order and we cannot use it.

Thanks in advance

Did you try www.crucial.com ? The memory selector on their front page works for Apple machines too.

It might be worth going through the paperwork to add Crucial to your approved list, since they are a good supplier for laptops and obscure machines, as well as offering reliable memory for modern PCs.

Most likely reffering to 100mhz PC100 SDRAM..
Be careful though, some older PCs can't use all "PC100" RAM, and certainly not all PC133 even though it's rated to work at both speeds. Macs might be the same way, I don't know.

Most newer PC133 is "high density" which some old motherboards can't recognize properly.

that website sure helped. I look at the different iMacs. The iMacs that accept 168 pin RAMs have 133mHz listed. So I guess I will order those from Newegg. Part # checked and all.

I would order from Crucial seperately but they don't accept checks. Thanks a lot, guys.
BTW, that unbuffered/ECC stuff doesn't matter, am I right?
