What kind of light bulbs do you buy?

I just dropped about forty bucks on a handful of CFLs and I'm wondering if I'm just weird.....

...this is for your typical living areas. Beds and baths and such.

Lights that are on most of the time get CFLs. Others get long-life incandescents.

since costco has been carrying cheap compact flourescents, i buy those

before that, whatever cheap incadescent i could get from wal-mart/home depot

cf's from ikea. decent prices there. plus they got the little weenie screw ones for their lamps.
bathrooms use the ge ones with blue tint ..reveal i think

dunno, the cheapest aren't always good for cf. u don't want lights that have really ick color u know.

I hate CFL because I cannot stand that they just don't produce a natural looking light. Incadescent are much better for reading and anything requiring extended use of the light source.

I usually stick to GE soft white bulbs. Somtimes I go for philips.

they had like a $4 off coupon a couple weeks ago, i think they go for ~$15 a pack normal price

I used to just use cheap incadescents, but a month ago I decided to try CFLs in my bedroom. MUCH better.

yea the incadescents are only intially cheap. the cf's just use less and last so much longer. ikea has tons of the smaller ones for cheap, good for making combinations of task lighting/ambient. better then a single glaring shadow making source of light
