Well they have been redback for a while.
For the DSL network. The gateways to the backbones are still cisco 6400s.
Verizon services are currently on a PPPoE vlan.
No more static, but may be offered in the future.
The redbacks arnt the reason for slowdowns.
They actually are performing as well as the old ciscos.
Its the backbones that are like over capacity.

it seems like everyone here has a computer background I don't.
I do Architectual drafting (self employed) contract work for residental builders.

been looking to get into computer field.

Develop corporate software at a large Canadian high tech Co. Though if I spend much more time here during the day I'll probably be spending my time watching soap operas and drinking beer.

<<anybody here work in the financial market area? >>

I will be starting this July in Investment Banking on Wall Street.

You know I do T.

BTW: I'd think twice before going to JPM. You know they were just recently acquired. I'd go for the SSB one if I were you.

I work full time for US Customs as a Radio/Satellite Communications Journeyman. At least that's my official title. Somehow I got suckered into maintaining our ground surveillance system and being a sub domain network admin too.

Never a moment's rest!!!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I'm working towards my Bachelors in MIS.
