What kind of HS/Fan are you using for your OCed Athlon XP??

I have here in my hands an alpha pal8045, with a big honkin' delta fan, eight screws, an untold number of washers, four springs, and some other junk for an athlon xp.

Probably overkill.

Mild recommendation: Screwing hsfs are better than clipping hsfs.

I second that!

i have an alpha pal6035 on my 1ghz tbird @ 1.4, default voltage
no heat problems wahtsoever.. using a 28cfm fan

Alpha PAL8045 with a 92mm enermax adjustable fan!!! SWEET! Hey Novgrod Make sure you use the right washers for that. If you dont have really big holes then dont use the shouldered washers. I killed my chip using those!!!! Just an FYI.

I'm using an OCZ Gladiator with 7k RPM Delta screamer, keeps my Athlon XP 1600+ @ 1800+ @ 1.85Volts running at about 32 celsius, its a great HSF and you can get em for about 20 bucks...thinking about getting an 80mm shroud though so I can just use a panaflo 80mm fan instead of the loud delta

Thermalright SK6

Maybe, but they are a pain in the ass if you do a lot of part swapping. Not nearly as easy to take off and put back on.

I got a ThermalRight SK-6 a while back with a 50CFM Delta fan, assuming I was gonna o/c. Damn thing was to loud so I got a cheap ass Dynatron Microfin HSF. Its got a ting ass fan but surprisingly it keeps me under 50c at all times.

Heres a pic

Comes w/Thermal paste already on the cpu (not a pad), easy installation.

I am running a TT Volcano 6Cu on my 1900+.

Not to be a jerk, but topic should say: "What kind of HS/Fan are you using for an OCed AMD XP.
