What kind of firewall

Router-Which One?
Software-Zone Alarm?
Hardware-Linux Firewall?

i want the best protection and so far ive been pretty happy with zone alarm pro it has all my ports closed but pretty soon ill be setting up a house server with FTP access to the rest of the world and i dont wanna leave any openings what do u guys suggest

my order of suggestion:
1. Linux
2. Router/firewall - Linksys, or SMC
3. ZoneAlarm

I'm cheap so ZA is what i'm running now.

Get a Cisco PIX Link

For those of use that arnt that rich :) any NAT based router will be fine, but i would run ZA on every machine anyways, mostly to make sure any trojans from calling home.

ZA works fine as far as I have seen. Plus you can control what programs can act as a server, little more flexible than a hardware one.
