is the fan on the globalwin cpm-16/32 the same as the ystech fan that is on the globalwin fop-32?...if not, what kind is it...

i was also looking at purchasing the globalwin fop-38 but if it gets too loud for my taste, i was thinking of using a fan from the cpm-16/32 that i have laying around....will that work....

last, which fan would be better for overclocking a cumine 600e to 800, a golden orb or the globalwin cpm-16/32

There are two versions of the globalwin cpm - the cpm-32 and the older model cpm-16. The cpm-32 comes with a YS Tech 60mm 26cfm fan, which is the same fan that is on the FOP-32. The cpm-16 had a less powerful, off-brand fan on it. Either one should do fine if you wanted to switch out the fan on the FOP-38.

For overclocking a 600e, the golden orb would do a much better job cooling since the cpm-16/32 was originally designed with socket7/ppga chips in mind, although not as good as a FOP-32.

Here's 2cool's socket heatsink test page for some performance numbers.

Hope that helps

The CPM-16 that I own came with a 27cfm Y.S. Tech fan. The CPM-32 is the exact same heatsink I think, they just decided to change the number for some reason. The CPM-12 came with a 20cfm fan, bigred was the name of the fan I think.
