what kind of exercises can I do around the house

two caveats: can't have any exercise equipment in the apartment (against the lease, though I can probably get away with some small free weights) and can't really afford a monthly membership at any of the gyms near me thanks to my rent going up last month and the pathetic raises we all got at work this year.

I'm totally clueless, but my flabby arms and elbow fat are killing my ability to wear short-sleeve shirts.

Well, the primary cause of the flabby arms is not lack of exercise, but poor diet. You should definitely focus on that and clean IT up first. That is the most important part. Exercise comes second. When you feel you have cleaned it up enough and are on track to hit your goals, you should then incorporate some standard stuff - pushups, pullups, situps, squats, burpees, handstand pushups (or overhead press), planches, etc. Diet is key though. Focus on that first for a few weeks.

fwiw, I've been on a medically supervised diet working with a doctor/nutritionist for like over a year now... lost 183 pounds on it so far, aiming for 200 by the end of the year (not really "supervised" anymore, but I go in for bloodwork and a check up every couple months to make sure everything is running ok since I'm on such a calorie restricted diet)

I exercise, but it's more of the generic cardio variety (walking, joking, biking, etc... though I've been thinking about cutting back as my calf muscles are gigantic and I hate them)
