What kind of example do you hope you are to others?

In my personal life, if you'll excuse a religiously-related answer, I hope that I set an example to both Christians and non-Christians that it's okay to have and speak about your faith (evangelize) but that you can do that without prostelytizing, being a prick, pain in the ass, overbearing, or fake.

In my professional life, I hope I set an example that shows you can work your tail off for your customers and still have a good attitude no matter who you're dealing with.

You're apparently setting a bad example then because you must have wasted a good 20 seconds with that post. 😛

I just want to be remembered as a hard-working, decent man, who always gave respect when it was due, and never when it wasn't.

hmm... something about fear being bad. Shouldn't be afraid of people/things.... do what you think is neccesary and try not to worry to much about what people are going to think.

Put that previous rambling into better words and it might start to work. It also needs something about trying your best. I've been told I could be a good coach, since I can get people to do things they never thought they could do... which is good.

The writing in this post sucks, but I think the idea is headed in the right direction.

I want to be the nurse that goes the extra mile for every patient, and set an example to follow, I want to set an example to my future children that hard work, determination and patience pays off and that tolerance is a trait we should all possess

wtf is with your threads lately?

According to everybody else, I've been eating the brownies you baked. You tell me.

That's possibly the worst reply I've ever seen... your threads seem like you're gathering information for a psych 101 class...

Apparently I'm enjoying it more than you are. Am I taking up valuable neffing space that you're so concerned about my posts?

Are you a motivational speaker, on an off-chance? 😕
Nope - I am the Anti-Nef!! 😉
You're more of a motivational speaker than you intend or desire to be methinks. 😛

And even if the questions do seem to some like data-gathering for a Psych course, isn't that what life is? Seems that way to me, just one long psych course where the penalty for failure is greater than any college and where an interest in the subject makes all the difference. 🙂

Besides a decent man, good husband, and a Christian who leads by example, I want to be remembered as/an example of... a HARDCORE GAMER!!!!!

Actually, I would like the first three, the third is the truth no matter what

I could care less what sort of example people think I radiate.

I don't have kids - who would be the only people I'd really be trying to create an example for.

I mean, why should I care what sort of example people might think about when they think of me?

I stopped trying to be an example because while doing so would leave me open to being taken advantage of. I used to be hard working and cared about a lot of stuff. Until I figured out that most people don't care and that they would use my earnestness to make the work lighter on them and harder on me. Also it sucks when you have been working your butt off to do somethng right and the people you work with want you to do even better, with no raise or encouragement/satisfaction. So now I kind of drift through life and do what I can sometimes, but most of the time I do just enough to get by.

I've been an example to a number of people that bisexual neo-pagan dudes can still be good people, even likable and fun to hang out with.
