Some of the DVDs that are on the PS2 now are:

DARK CLOUD
GT3
DOA 2: HC
ZOE

Many others I'm sure, just can't call them up in my mind right now

I don't think the PS2 is region free - because each region has its own PS2 model... I'll check up on it for you though to make sure

No, its not region free. The early models had a bug that allowed you to make it region free, but that has since been corrected by Sony.
