Sierra Nevada is availabe nationwide--you can even get it at most gas stations/convenience stores!
Oh and although it is much debated, the Bass/Guinness combination is called a Black & Tan, while the Harp/Guinness combination is called a Half-and-Half.

I've found that the ladies really like Alize :) It's expensive but damn does that stuff taste good... Oh, and if you're going to be drinking vodka, you might as well get the good stuff. Nothing beats Belvedere for smoothness.

If you're going to mask the taste with juice, then you can use crappy vodka. Grey Goose should be enjoyed on its own merits.

I like to start off with some Bass and usually end up sipping on glen livet (neat). 18 year is preferred.

I've tried that, and it's surprisingly good, even more considering the price (only a CDN$1 or two more than Smirnoff)

As I always say:

Life's too short to drink the cheap stuff.

What are some of your favorite shots that are pretty common to get at any bar. Educate me..... I've had a "red headed $lut" was a pinkish mixture, quite tastety

thanks

Vodka martini, up, very dry.

I used to drink kamakazis shots (sp?) back in the day. Those are yummy, 1 part vodka, 1/2 part lime juice and 1/2 part triple sec (if I remember correctly). Wife likes appletinis and mai-tais (there are about a million different recipes for this drink).

Something I consider is that the only consistent drink you can really get is a beer fresh from the tap. Yep. I like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (do they sell that nationally?). I also enjoy Black and Tans (Guiness and some type of Ale, usually Bass or Harp Lager)

I'm with him on the gin and tonics. Those greatful deads do sound good though...
