I was just curious what kind of internet connection do you guys have.

If you can just mention the speeds, and whether the service is good or not. Also if you game online, how does it hold up connection-wise?

ADSL 256 each way, through Qwest.
It's not entirely stable where I live (loses connection from time to time), and my usual ping is anywhere from 85 to 165.

DSL through Verizon. never had any service problems... I haven't measured the speeds, but it's more than fast enough for my needs and I'd never consider switching to cable (also worth mentioning that I'm only about a mile from the Verizon DSL facility)

DSL on the end of a 20,400 foot subscriber cable. Cayman 3220H clamped onto 672/160 Kbps. As temperatures change the cable characteristics the Cayman will occasionally drop and regrab at a different speed; last was over six days ago. Six computers on the home network.

At home: Qwest POS 1.5Mbit/1.0Mbit Quits whenever it rains, lousy piece...
At work: Ahh... Love the uni's. I don't even know the full size, but when you start seeing IE download windows crawling past 10Mbyte per second, you just sit back and smile a bit. Until you glance at the flow report the next day and realize your boss is too ;)

EDIT:

Thought I'd take a screen while downloading SP2 today. Mmmmm yeah!

I thought that Comcast had increased download speeds to 4Mbit/s down, still with 384Kbit/s up.

Anyways, I'm on Verizon DSL, 768Kbit/s down, 128Kbit/s up. (Yes, I know, sub-standard, I'm going to call them soon and figure out WTH is going on. The order was placed for 1.5, and even if that can't be supported, I should get 384 up at least, I would think. Unless their provisioning settings in the computer don't include a 768/384 residential tier, which is probably an all too real possibility. :( )

CC now offers additional speed (4000/384 up) for $10 more/month instead of the standard 3000/256. Not worth IMHO. I didnt ehar anything that they 'upped' their regular 3000/256 speeds t 3.3/256...thats news to me...

right off the CC website:
>>>
Choice of Blazing Speeds: Do you like your Internet super fast, or superduper fast? Choose between standard 3Mbps/256Kbps or, for $10 more a month, 4Mbps/384Kbps.

Yes, lots of people in America got their download speeds increased to 3.3MB. Not sure if everyone did though
