Like this TurboCrazy

I have a TC setup (a few actually), and I get a nice controllable roast. I sometimes use a BBQ setup or my mobile Zach and Dani's, but I can roast ~3lbs at once.

 awesome there's another Home Roaster.

I'd previously noted that our epicurean interests are similar.

I am looking forward to trying it out and after ebay my total investment is about $65 including a sampler from Sweet Marias so I figure even if I can't get something I'll like it's still been fun :)

That was about mine as well. I think I paid ~$30 for the Stir Crazys as I bought them retail, and I ended up getting the convection ovens for about ~$40 each on eBay. Not a bad investment!

My wife and I are a depot location for our Organic CSA, The farmer comes with a truck of vegetables and we dole it out to subscribers... I've been idly thinking of selling 1/2 pounds to some of the members if I produce anything worth selling....

That is awesome. I'm very much a supporter of organics, and I participated in a local program that does something similar.

I put together some blends and roast them for family and coworkers, and I think my favorite blend is as follows:

1 part Kenya AA roasted to about full city
1 part Sulawesi roasted to about full city+
1 part Monsooned Malabar roasted to about full city+

I sometimes substitute the Kenyan for Yemeni if I want that flavor. I drink mostly espresso though, and I find the rather simple blend to be almost perfect for me.

I have a Ronco Showtime Rotisserie that I could convert with some better heating elements or I might go the gas grill BarBQ

That could produce some nice results. I'd love to see the setup if you get something like that going...

we all know the correct response is 'i like my coffe like i like my women... ground up and in the freezer'
:D

and btw, im an any type of coffee with sugar and cream, or doubleshots of espresso + a lil sugar.
<---- home roaster here too. :D
i have a West Bend Poppery II that I use, roasts about 3/4 cup of green coffee. right now im trying Espresso Vivace's Dulce blend, home roasted. not a huge fan, then again maybe I am just not an espresso person. i want to be, so im forcing myself through the stages. :)
will be ordering a blend sampler from Sweet Marias, that or just get some of the Monkey Blend.
also like milk-based drinks, such as a good, true cappuccino, or a real latte, little bit of hazlenut with or without vanilla added. or caramel, always good too. :)

Great to see home roasters!

I'm not a great fan of Espresso Vivace's Dulce either. Sweet Maria's has some good blends as well, but overall I derive a lot more satisfaction from single-origin espresso; in particular, a shot of straight fresh Kenya AA can be incredible.

I know this will probably throw the coffee snobs into convulsions, but at home I prefer a high quality whole bean smooth blend and then I use Coffemate Toffee Nut creamer.

Man, it just tastes good to me.

Ok, snort away...

I haven't decided where to get green beans from yet, but I happen to have a West Bend Poppery II that someone was giving away when they were moving. And to think, we've been using it for popcorn all this time :p

I love Starbuck's Venti Iced Caramel Macchiatto w/an extra doubleshot. You'd think I'd know better, but meh.
I like the local brewhouse's Kenya AA & Sumatra too.

Kenya AA, or Kenya Blue Mountain (which is impossible to find in the US)

Tanzanian Peaberry

Always use a Coffee Press (French Press), I have a drip machine, but I never use it.

Sumatra Mandehling is pretty good. I'm about to finish my Colombian Supremo and will check out what's all the hype about Jamaica Blue Mountain.
