Mazer has good taste indeed. Someone mentioned Yeungling. Man I went to UD. You can't imagine how many pitchers of Yeungling Blank and Tan I've consumed. I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for that. And the six-packs were tallboys. Good times...

I have never seen Yeungling in my area (NW New york state)
You're not missing all that much. It's decent beer, but nothing to get too terribly excited about IMO.

three floyds Alpha King is a very very very hoppy beer. [gump]i liked it alot.[/gump]

also, how about seirra nevada pale ales,

Fat Tire Amber

Sprecher Amber, IPA, or anything....

Sam Adams is a sure bet too... widely available.

For something different, go with K hard cider...good stuff 😉

Thats the worst cider I've ever had. 😀 Woodchuck cider is pretty good, hornesby's is 2nd on the list.

(*doesn't really care for beer....I do like cider though)

Wow, I love that stuff. Hornsby's is next, though 😉 Never had woodchuck, but the fromer two put Strongbow to shame, imo.
Eh, to each his own 🙂

For anyone in the bay area that likes amber beer, gordon biersh (sp?) has a seasonal beer called Dunkles that is EXCELLENT. if you like new castle then you'll love this beer. My previous favorite beer was New Castle or Guinness but this beer was soooo good. Make sure drink it fast though, once it starts to get warm, the flavor goes away. then again, this is true for all beers.

magic hat beer. I've been trying to drink all of them but there are lots of seasonal ones I haven't even seen around here at all.

Those beers aren't meant to be drank cold.

Sierra Nevada, Maxim recommened this cause it has a little more percentage for the same prices as many beers. 🙂 so its an advantage when you go out 😛

oh and its good

you're kidding me right? what beer is not meant to be drank cold? read the back of the guinness can, it even says "serve very cold" or something like that. warm beer isn't good in my books.

Actually...

"What temperature is correct for serving Guinness? Guinness can be served cooler than other ales. 5-8 degrees celsius is about ideal, although some places keep their Guinness at cellar temperature along with their other ales."

Serving a beer too cold will kill its flavour.
