So I just got a new retail boxed AMD A64 (ADA3700BNBOX). It's a 3700 chip with the following marking:

ADA3700DAA5BN
KAB2E 0547DPNW

I've been googling for 30 minutes with no luck figuring out if this is a Sand Diego, Venice, or whatever. I can't seem to find a link to the AMD page that showed you how to decode the lingo.

Can any please shed any light?

Look at newegg, is that your chip?

I'd rather not open up the box at this point...

The just use the link, is that your chip? I think that it is. It's a 3700+, and they don't sell Clawhammers anymore, so unless it's used, it's probably the Sandiago.

Thanks for the tip. Guess it is a San Diego, I'm so tired from lack of sleep I forgot to check the code on the box. ADA3700BNBOX

E4, that's San Diego I think.

On another note that link comes out at the top of the page when i google ADA3700DAA5BN, I find it hard to believe you've been googling for half an hour and got nothing.

Edit - it's defintely not a clawhammer as the fabrication process is 90nm.

I swear I was searching and kept getting most non-English hits. Those few hits I did get were Opterons.

Thanks for the info.
