Beer: I'll drink just about anything, but I enjoy a good ale much more than an American-style lager. (I'm like this with my whiskey, too.)

Music: I can't stand music that sounds the same as everything else. 2000's pop music doesn't sound awful, it's just the same as everything else that was produced that year. Auto-tune doesn't help this.

Rationality: I have a hard time interacting with people who hold incredibly strong, irrational opinions (vaccines cause autism, cell phones cause cancer, nuclear power will ruin the world, global warming isn't happening, we need to cut taxes, cap the deficit, fight two wars, but don't touch my medicare!). I apologize in advance to everyone I just offended.

ohhhh-ohhhh, which teeth?

I want to say 2 & 3? First two upper right molars. I think the right wisdom tooth is #1? I can't remember. :hmm:

Anyway, can't wait; always nice to have shiny new teeth and my dentist is freaking awesome.

Haha, definitely porcelain. My mouth is very white and I'd like to leave it that way. :D Pretty amazing considering the amount of coffee I drink, but my teeth stay pretty white.

I joke about it all the time saying I don't know a lot about a lot, but I DO know a lot about food and beer.
So, food and beer. :)

This is my grill, see the stack of wood next to it? Truck is for scale.

Cooking surface is 6 feet 9 inches long and 29 inches across. The smoker has 2 - 24 inch trays. There is also a sliding tray in the left door of the main pit. The sliding tray holds a whole 10 pound bag of chicken quarters, or 3 slabs of baby back ribs.

I thought about building a bigger pit with a cooking surface close to 13 feet long. but I dont know if its worth the time and effort. This small pit does a good job.

Ugh, good lord that's horrible. D:

Yeah, I almost said food and beer myself, since I like quality restaurants and beer, but then I like crappy things too like IHOP and this cheap-o local pilsner, so I don't think I can really be considered a snob.

Heard gold lasts longer. Any truth to that?
it can. sometimes people opt for gold in the posterior as long as it isn't viewable when talking/smiling. porcelain has the chance of chipping, but that's a very rare occurrence as far as i've seen.

ok ok holy shit, you are a grill snob. that thing is awesome. overkill for probably 99.9% of people who grill, but it is still awesome regardless.

i'm an AV snob.

plasma > LCD
mp3's all encoded in 256kbps
bluray or i'm not watching
monitor is IPS at the proper 16:10 AR (TN panels and 16:9 are evil)

a real AV snob would be listening to lossless, not mp3.

So let me get this straight...

You're a self-professed "AV Snob" and you're:

1) Not using a lossless format
2) Only using 256K?

I'm with you on 16:10 (30" 2560x1600 or don't bother) but come on man - Buy a bigger hard drive. FLAC for the home, 320 MP3 for the car.

Theater snob. I must get there an hour early. I must get a proper viewing seat. I must not get up and go to the restroom which means I must not get any of the snacks/drinks.

I have gotten very upset with friends who insist that we arrive 5-10 minutes before show start.

not much.

i could be called an 'audio' snob for not using i-tunes, not listening to shit mp3's, not listening to shitty equipment in general...but i also don't spend thousands of dollars to have the 'cleanest' amplifiers, overpriced speakers, and $100/ft speaker wire.

'snob' to me generally implies 'jackass.' i think the word being sought here is 'enthusiast.'

Food: I feel bad for all who think Indian food that is served in restaurants is good.

I have been to many restaurants in 8-9 cities in the US.. and never found one that is good.

I know a few Indian dive restaurants that are always packed with Indian customers. They're definitely better than some of the more upscale Indian restaurants I've been to.

Thanks. So far, neither for me (47) but I'm sure one day....
