The MOUSE

Keyboard and mouse only. Especially since I got the leather couch.

I feel like a retarded kid using a console controller. RETAHDED. Like writing with your left hand.

You know what's retarded? Trying to use a keyboard and mouse while lounging on a couch. FAIL.

I still play games on PC because of Steam, mainly. Maybe some PC exclusives, but most of those are online-focused/only(MMOs) garbage, so I stay away from them.

Edit: Oh, and I find it funny that most of you are saying "I play on PC because of tEh GrAfiX!", because you're probably the first to start bitching about games that are "all graphics, no gameplay!"

Platform agnisticity is where it's at. Playing games and enjoying games, no matter what platform or controller style is what it's all about!

Mainly because I do so much on the PC at the same time while gaming. I often run my games in windowed mode and chat etc. in the background. I hate using keyboard and mouse for gaming though, since I use that always for work. I mostly play games that allow me to use a controller. And given that most of the games are ported from consoles, I see no reason to get a console to play them as I already got a system that can run them, at higher frame rate, etc.

If you're sitting on a couch then you're not really gaming, you're only playing.

Damn it, where's the emoticon for pretending to be hardcore.

Mouse and Keyboard and graphics. I have a PS3 and 360 and can play with a controller, but I was always wishing I had kbm, so I eventually went back.

I agree with a lot of the replies you've gotten so far;Keyboard and mouse, online community, mods, able to lease servers......I can install old games on the pc I have right now.........."all in one", multitask...........I also find it fun to tweak/upgrade my pc parts 🙂

KB+M is the best controller setup.
Mods add more value to games.
Living with other roommates who aren't as into video games, TV time has to be shared. I can hookup my 360 to my PC if I want.
Backwards compatibility is usually not a huge issue. I can't load up an NES game on my 360, but I can install a PC game I bought back in 1995 and probably be able to play it.

-To me it's more convenient to buy a single platform that does everything and excels at running video games too.

-Keyboard/mouse/gamepad

-Upgradability

-So far I'm interested in PC exclusives more than console exclusives. I'm not going to pay $300 on a ps3 just to play god of war 3.

Keyboard and mouse isn't a big deal for me. I use the xbox 360 USB controller on my PC for console style games like GTA4 and Just Cause 2. Driving the vehicles with a controller that has force feedback is more satisfying.

I tried using it for crysis, but it's too hard to shoot small targets with an analog stick.

When I read and can relate to almost all reasons in this thread it becomes very clear to me that PC gaming will never die. Not to open that can of worms.

Its just a superior, modifiable machine.

#1 Freedom

I don't like to be limited to whatever Sony/MS comes up with. I also don't like to support products that limit my freedom/options.

#2 cost

Console games are expensive

#3 Keyboard and Mouse, I cannot play FPS on controller. Tried it many times, can't do it

#4 I love researching/building PC hardware

#5 Multifunction of a PC
