What just happened to my computer?!

Some kid just told me to install updates for my motherboards BIOS... So I installed the file on my CD off of the manufacture website and burned the update on a CD, rebooted and then updated my BIOS then all of a sudden my monitor and mouse wont work, keyboard lights are on and my Computer is on, Power button works... But nothing is shown on screen and my mouse won't light up... Some kid from here told me to do this to fix a previous slow boot problem I had... I need help, if my motherboard just fried im going to be one pissed person.

First of all before you panic, I'd try to reset the cmos. There should be a jumper on the mobo, check your manual.

If that doesn't work, check your manufacturer website for any type of bios recovery. Worse case scenario is that you need to purchase a new bios eeprom from your manufacturer. Good luck, and keep us updated.

I reset the CMOS, and the mouse works in the PS/2 port but not the USB one now... Monitor still won't come on...!
