QFT. You need a masters in anything unless it is science and engineering if you want a halfway decent job.

Mostly boring jobs that will suck out your soul year after mind-numbing year; slowly so that you don't notice until you are already dead inside, and then you don't have the will or confidence left to try and save yourself.

Oh... i dont have a buisness degree but i thought it might be better than the one i have got. I got an environmental management and planning degree. But i hate the environment, studing something for 4 years really puts you off it.

Look at you with your midwest redneck hate language

"A bundle of pieces of iron or steel to be welded or hammered into bars"

Actually after much research.... a lovely human is just like iron man, but with better pants.

Midwest? Well... Minnesota has a lot of Masters, so if you want to work in the TwinC, you will be competing with U of M (+60,000 students) - MBA grads, every single year, and not to mention PHDs from the other schools who want a quick nickel before they can score the fortune 50 jobs out of state if they wish. More capita per state, fortune 500 HQ's in MN than any other state.

My sister has a manager who does 4 hours on ebay at Ameriprise, S&P500 job. I'm like wtf?

Anyway, with a 4yr you build up to the position. Basically, if you don't want to get an MBA, ...hopefully, four years of schooling will have taught you to manuever politics in a company at the least, if not learn to climb and take on jobs as a "supposedly" more adaptive learner.

-...good luck, and the last part wasn't a joke.

hahaha, this was a bad place to ask that question. Tech people look down on business majors.

Anyway, it all depends on what your concentration is. Accounting? Marketing? Finance? All depends on what you WANT to do. "Business" is very broad.

i know accounting will land you as a slave in the big four or maybe another company doing some type of work. business management will get you nowhere except for interviews w/ pyramid scheme type companies or fly by night marketing firms

Yes.

If one can do well AND impress the higher ups, a better position will be yours in less than one year.
