I like italy, dust2, and militia best. Militia can be T-campy, but if the CTs aren't pussies and are a good TEAM, then it's even. Assault is fun as a T when you rush. Sure, you die quick, but it's so rewarding to cap 3 unsuspecting CTs

Also, about the awp... I've played on some really good servers and if you have a few guys on each team who are good with them, then it's a good gun. It becomes unbalanced when you have a very good sniper on one team and a bunch of clowns on the other. Even if one guy knows how to take down an awper, it doesn't do much good if the rest of his team are idiots.

Oh, and about the cricket thing... I don't know if this is allowed, but I had my sounds set up like this:

The radio/music in italy, the thunder and crickets in aztec, and a few other piss me off type sounds are off on my game. I just recorded a blank .wav file, made a bunch of copies and then put those in place of all the other sounds. Worked great (reformatted and got lazy so it's not like that now).

I didn't say awp is random. The GAME is random. I've seen demos of people getting headshots when their crosshair wasn't even near the skull, a lot farther away from the hitbox. Netcode? Lan game. Cheats? CAL match. I've also seen people getting blasted in the head and the game not registering it. It's freaking random. Stolen idea piece of crap full-of-morons game with a horrible community.

you have some issues you need to work out. bullets become random because of recoil. yes, the recoil is *too* random in the newer versions of the game, but people deal with it. stolen idea? from what? i don't think you know what you are talking about.

Yeah, I do know what I'm talking about. I'm not talking ANYTHING about recoil. The entire game ITSELF is full of unrealistic/unfun randomness, some of it from the netcode. And yes, Gooseman stole the idea to Counter-Strike.

For all you awp whores out there, come by my awp_map server and play against the regulars: 209.220.161.81

Lots of noobs but we've been getting a steady flow of CAL players coming in lately, they like to warm up on our server. Couple CAL-M and IM players, get maybe 5-7 CAL-O clans. Busy time is from 4pm PST till 10pm, the best usually show up around 5.

Me, I like dust2. Great map to work on the basics of teamwork. Just started learning nuke, it's actually a fun map, used to hate that thing.

To the guy that said A site rush on dust works, I believe CT spawn is A and the far bombsite is B (well, in the original map anyways). But then people started mixing it up so it's all confusing now.

Like it or not, awp is here to stay. A lot of teams in matches live and die by the awp. If you can't awp, you won't get far. Besides, it improves your aim. Took me a year to learn how to awp, and my rifling got better as a result of it. Practicing flick shot rifle and no-scope awping now, for close combat situations.

Or heck, go pub on TSO if you wanna test your awp against CAL-I and CAL-M.
