Did you just use the word wench?

Nah, Mcphee while she is still attractive is not as tight bodied as Pickler, nor has that sweet booty.

It's the themes that suck. They should just let the contestants sing what they want, for gawd's sake.

But out of the hundreds of thousands that try out it seems that 2 or 3 actually sing on key most of the time, and have pleasing voices, and enough personality and smarts to resonate with the music and lyrics.

What exactly is your point? Serious question. I don't understand what you are trying to say. Are you saying that American Idol is a show where lots of people try out and a few (of the best) can sing?

Then you go on to say ..

If you look at the musical talent that has stuck around for the long haul I think it's safe to say these people/groups would have made it regardless, breaks no breaks, they just had the talent.

You are saying that there are a lot of good artists out there who would have "made it" with break or no break. What does that even mean? Everyone got a break, it's called a record deal.

LMAO! I never heard that term used before to describe the kid. That's so funny.

What? Singers that are really good stand out? But the general rule ... what general rule?

Now, I'm not a huge fan of the show, but my wife and her family is. And all of us agree that, especially this year, none of the contestants could pick a good song to save the world. (in our opinion)

And I agree that this year, Kelly Pickler >>> McPhee and others. Better body, and Katherine's face looks kinda strange to me (think Geena Davis).

The rule the OP posted that in the end a good singer is just a good singer and that's all.
