The green tea Mochi and the chocolate covered almonds!
Now I really have to go soon! :awe:
I've only tried the Bubbies brand, but if TJ's is better,

I'm pretty sure I bought the Stauffer's Ginger Snaps in the past many times elsewhere, and they were very good then. They have plenty of flavor without going overboard, or used to.
Sounds like what you might be looking for.

The only time I go to organic snoody grocery stores (World Market, Trader Joes, etc...) is when I want something different.
Basically, I go there when I want fine cheese/salami - and a nice beer that I haven't had yet to go with it.
Anything else, you're an idiot that likes paying $300 instead of $100. Want proof? Take a look around you the next time you're there. Emo's and hippies with tattoo's, nose rings, etc... all around you. At least with World Market, can't speak fully on Trader Joe's behalf.
Trader Joe's is like maybe three dolla sign.
Not cheap, not expensive, around the middle. The thing is lots of store brand stuff. Its a like it or hate it kind of thing.
Aldi's is like one dolla sign and Target/Walmart are like two. Whole Foods is 4 and Wegmans is 3.5.
I guess I would consider like small specialty stores 5.
Trader Joes is cheap food and booze. I have no idea where you get the notion that it's expensive. Stick to the frozen and prepackaged stuff and it's very inexpensive. I go there for their frozen fried rice, pot stickers and other appetizers. Also get their frozen Indian food dinners. It's like $2.20 a bag for the fried rice and pot stickers. Frozen dinners are $2.50. That's very cheap. The Gorgonzola crackers are amazing and are under $3.00. Pretzel rolls are very cheap. Snack nuts and other trail mixes are cheap too. You can get the Trader Joe label bourbon for $15 a bottle which is fine for mixing drinks. It's also one of the cheapest places in my area to buy wine.
So yeah. No clue what the hell you are talking about. I'm sure there are some things there that *are* expensive. But I don't shop for produce or meat there. "Clientele" wise it's college kids, old people and soccer moms.
