Thanks everyone for the advice thus far, it's been a great help. I mentioned some of the ideas to the fam and they liked most of them, minus the condoms and the brothel 😛

My mother did say that she makes a pretty good killing on candy bars. Didn't think older people would be digging candy.

Please keep the advice/opinions coming. I would eventually love to move down there to be closer to the family and help them manage the store..if they pay me enough 😀

Are they only expecting elderly customers?

Is it along a road where other shoppers might stop in, or is it even accessible to the general public?


I got to convenience stores for quick food, drinks, and last minute stuff like hair care things if my hair gets screwed up. Anything that I might need in an emergency I would also buy there. Jumper cables, cell phone chargers, all kinds of stuff.

The store is public but I would guess that over ninety five percent of the people who shop and eat there are residents of the condos and most if not all of them are elderly. Basically it's situated in the middle of a large group of condos which were at first retirement type condos, but have recently let the public purchase them.
