What is your worst Phobia??

I love snorkling and swimming in deep water but scuba diving scares the crap out of me. I totally panic when I am under for too long and can't stand it... and I only went in a pool.

This is not a fobia per se but rather a deep-rooted trauma: Choking to death on food. I was pretty close once; luckily I was at was at my college cafeteria and some First-aid minors who knew Heimlich's pretty much saved my life.

I've always felt my trachea is just not wide enough, or at least not as wide as it's normal for humans...maybe it's just a trauma from that time. Since then I really take my time to chew my food; I've trained myself to do so without thinking. If I'm eating something that's too big for me too swallow or chew comfortably, I just won't eat it at all.

Also, since then I have recurrent nightmares about choking...even after being woken up by them in the middle of the night I feel I can't breathe, even though I'd actually be breathing normally.

I get really claustrophobic when driving on a freeway where the lanes aren't as wide as usual and they have the barriers up along the sides (like during construction). That's really the only thing I freak out on.

I'm hate the sound and texture of cardboard.
Spiders
Drowning
Failure
I have dreams that I'm running, but not getting anywhere. Something is chasing me, but when I run I can't get anywhere. I think it's because i used to play baseball, and my dad would always tell me to run faster, ect ect.
choking
i have lots of dreams of people coming to my high school and shooting the place up.

I have no idea why, as I know electronics/electrical pretty well, but fear of getting electrocuted while fixing gadgets or installing electrical stuff. Not stuff like phones, VCR, swapping a bulb, etc.; but, something like adjusting a TV or repairing an amplifier where there is danger of large stored charges. I HATE replacing wall sockets. I'll shut the power off to the entire apartment to replace one in a room with it's own breaker.

Nothing wrong with that really... what if some dope mislabled something? It wouldn't matter if you turned off the breaker then. Better safe than sorry I always say.

Another fear I have is getting a girlfriend and sleeping with her the first time and have her discover that I fart in my sleep.

And the fear of being rejected after having sex because of my small penis...

Invertebrates that are long and worm/slug like. Slugs, leeches, worms, millipedes, centipedes, sea cucumbers and caterpillars, those types of things.

Does anyone know what the name for this phobia would be?

Scoleciphobia

I have a fear of slimy things. They disgust me abnormally. I have no fear of insects or hard shelled things tho.

I also have a fear of forgetting a big paper or exam. I have woken in sweats thinking I forgot I had an exam on that day. I also have a fear of getting poor grades.

Also, I'm scared of situations where I might have to get naked in front of others. For example, going camping by a lake with a bunch of friends. I can just imagine us drinking and then one of the guys says, "Hey, let's go skinny dipping!" and promptly takes off all his clothes and jumps in the lake. Then other guys follow him in. And then the girls do the same. But I'm still standing there with all my clothes on -- frozen in fear and not knowing what to do. Then the friends would say, "Come on in! The waters fine!" And maybe one of the girls would say, "Come on, Stormy! Let's see what you got!" with a twinkle in her eyes and a "come-hither" smile brought on by the alcohol. Then I would be overcome with dread -- thinking, "Oh God, why can't I have a normal sized penis! I think I could actually get this girl!" But I stand frozen in fear. Then one of the guys says, "What's the matter?!?! Do you have a small penis or something?" And then all the girls giggle.

For this reason, I try not to have any friends so I will never be put into such an embarrassing situation.

I forget the word but it close to the fear of heights. My fear is wanting jump off something high, like a building or a cliff.

Any time I'm in water and I feel trapped it freaks me out like nothing else. Didn't matter if it's just my dad wrestling with me in the pool, having little to no control like that just scared the crap out of me. I use past tense because I hardly ever swim, though it probably would still get me if it happened today.

edit: basic grammar

You know what could help this? Go to the ER, tell the admitting nurse your problem so she can keep an eye on you, and eat like a wolf in the lobby. Maybe suck on a big-ass lollipop or jawbreaker. If you have the money, have a doctor look at your trachea so he can tell you it is indeed normal sized. See if you don't feel a whole lot better afterward.

Same here. I'm an extremely careful driver and I like to have plenty of room. Stuff happens VERY fast on a freeway, and I have no money for a new car or medical bills or high risk insurance. Or a funeral.

dentist/doctor
the sound of paper ripping😕

Exactly. I'm not afraid of heights, I'm afraid of falling. If I'm in a situation where I'm really secure, it doesn't matter how high up I am.

Needles. Nothing scares me more... I don't know why.

Like, hypodermic needles as in you're afraid of shots? Or sewing needles? Or both?

Pine needles. Have you ever tried to get them out of shag carpet? HAVE YOU

Large spiders & cockroaches. I'd rather be buried up to my neck in snakes than have a cockroach or spider on me.

The kids didnt speak a word of english and it must have been jellyfish season! We were out on a raft and he picked one up and threw it on my lap, i didnt wanna touch it so i was screaming "GET IT OFF GET IT OFF" and he was just looking at me like "😕"... Ever since then i hate them with a passion.

heights,

but then its weird. I dont mind flying (i love it)..but i almost get sick just watching a movie where eg. people are on top of a building on a heliport or similiar.
Or..like in King Kong...when they climb up that building.

Also..Spiders suck 😉

Haha, the little minivans they drive you mean? way overfilled and speed round the windy little roads on the mountains? I was a bit apprehensive at first, but apparently theres little crashes..

Which island in particular? I went on them in St. Vincent.. Its where my dad's from, i saw one of the wheels lift off the ground of one bus once! Me and my dad were in stitches!

Minivans, and pickup trucks with "covered wagon" canopies over the bed. :Q

St Thomas is bad. Locals in Roatan (Honduras) get into road rage frequently. Mostly shouting and horn blowing, cursing, etc. stuff. A friend of mine got hurt back in Jan when the van he was in (along with 11 other crewmembers on shore leave) flipped over during one of these fiascoes. This is why I prefer to stay on the ship!
