worst flight experience #1: set next to a fat lady on a 15 hour flight, plan was full. I squeezed between her fat lard and the window. I asked the flight attendent to move her or find me a new set. SHe said she can't do that because it is "Discrimination." wtf
#2 set next to some dude with stinky feet. He took his damn shoes off. wtf

Hehe

least favorite airline:
#1 US Air Ways: bad food, bad service, Cranky flight attendants, old planes, crapy movies.
#2 Delta: Cranky flight attendants, bad peanuts.
#3 China Eastern: Cranky flight attendants, bad food.
#4 Easy Jet: Cranky young flight attendants, old planes (some are scary)
Favorite airlines:
#1 JAL: free boos, good food & snacks, Birds Eye View, cute flight attendants, good in-flight service.
#2 Continental airlines: One of the few good US airlines. Good service, good food, flies over the northpole, love their 777s.
#3 Midwest Airlines: Every seat is business class.
#4 Cathy pacific

1 - FunJet - HORRIBLE

I was in cancun and the plane was down for engine problems. we were at the air port for 5 hours. then they decided to put us in a hotel for the night.

they bus us to a hotel, then 3 hours later (after we bought new cloths because we thought we were staying and didn't have access to our luggage) they bring us back to the airport and we had to wait on the bus for an hour while they rounded people up. everyone was all over, people at the beach, people everywhere. it SUCKED.

THEN, the crap charter airline they put us in didnt have AC and it was about 100 degrees out. they turned off the power to the plane and we sat on the runway for 2 hours. edit2 - and none of the people that ran the plane could speak english worth a damn and it was the worst landing of my life.

edit - total time was about 12 hours including travel time. un believeable. and they didn't do ANYTHING for us as far as reimbersement.

WORST experience of my life for an airline.

America West is usually particuarlly hellish to fly on. Almost every time I fly the jet winds up breaking and I wind up having to wait in the airport hours for repairs.

Least Favorite Airline: Delta :thumbsdown::thumbsdown:
Got stuck on a flight from Austin to Atlanta and then on to Louisville on an MD88 I had to sit right next to the engine and I was almost an hour and a half getting into Louisville all while being dead tired and not able to get any sleep because of the engine noise and vibration.

I think it's cause we were on my uncles's family benefits. Still doesn't sound legal that you can take ownership of somebody's luggage and not have any incentive to do anything but straight up steal them, but, hey it was printed on the back of the tickets so that makes it :thumbsup:.

Also, they pass out the drinks then come back around with the peanuts, so hold onto the drink or you'll just end up thirsty in the end. :)

AirTran going to and from Las Vegas....both chairs I was in didn't recline and were really uncomfortable. Fortunately, I was with a few friends so it made it bearable.

AirTran. The seats were very terrible and was as uncomfortable as sitting on wooden planks.

That describes pretty much all economy-class seating on any airline.

My worst experiences have all been on southwest air. Lots of fat people, annoying steward people, and not really that great of fares. My preferred airline is Alaska. They have had some issues but whenever they have a big problem they have always offered me reinbursement. I have a Alaska B of A visa and I love it as their miles are good on American, Hawaiian, Delta, Continental, Northwest, British, Iberian, and several others (including helijet which flies choppers from vancouer to whistler... so cool!).

I ended up puking on the plane the whole way from CUN to ATL. Apparently the last night at dinner we got real water instead of bottled water

ah forgot to add another US Airway booboo.
When I arrived at schiphol (amsterdam airport), I was freaked out when I could not find my luggage. I had to go to the luggage service and only to find out that my luggage did not make it on my flight! I understand those things can happen, but at least inform the customer during flight or something so we won't freak out.

I've only flown a couple times and with AirTran and I didn't have any problems. Consider, all I had was carry on, I had never flown so I didn't know any better, and I was seeing my girlfriend so i just wanted to get there as soon as possible

Newark - Paris on AirFrance

we boarded the plane, sat in our seats, and on the final plane checklist, a mechanic discovered that a key rivet or something keeping the engine in place was missing :shocked: they put us up in a pretty nice hotel room for the night, though, which was cool.

best flight was probably Paris - Newark on AirFrance when I flew on my birthday :) I was turning 17, but the stewardesses let me get totally loaded. :grin;

Good to hear you had a great time. WHen I saw Newark and Paris, I thought you had something to say about the airport. Talk about those 2 airports, avoid Newark and Paris during peak seasons. It is a nightmare!!! I mean any airport can be backed up during peak season but those two are like the worst.

So far, no one have posted any "close calls" like really bumpy flights, scary flights, etc.
I have flown more than 50 times and I still get paranoid.
Sometimes I wonder if the plane I'm ridding have the lastest early warning system. Like warns if plane is about to crash into a mountain in zero vis. Or, wings may snap off, etc.
All I know is I don't want a fat person blocking the emergency exits!!
