No, mostly people are indeed too lazy. It takes a whole 2-3 minutes to find an usher or manager and get back to your seat.

Ushers are supposed to walk the house at least once an hour. More often is definately preferred but not always possible depending on how busy the lobby is and what the staffing levels are.
