I'm looking for a new car in the near future and I think I've concluded on this car. It has a appealing price although it isn't as quick as I would like my new car to be.

I started with a Dodge Charger R/T and a Nissan Altima 3.5 but they're way out of my price range. I suppose I could go used but something about used car don't appeal to me anymore. I found out my car was a rental car and someone refinished the hood and did a crappy job. I didn't notice it before. My point is that there's always something to hide on a used car that will make it not sellable.

Before you touch any new car check your insurance costs. Faster cars tend to get penalized by both the insurance company and the gas company 😛

If the Charger and Altima you listed are outside your price range then I doubt you could handle the insurance on them let alone a 1 or 2 year old version. People seemt to totally ignore what insurance really costs, let alone putting gas into higher performance cars is.

Look, if the style of the Scion appeals to you then buy it. Take one out. I'd say go buy a Civic coupe but I am biased 🙂 on that point.

Bah, you edited it! If it's still only 210HP, then yeah, it's pretty low. With that weight, it'd get pwned by a Civic Si, and the Civic would have better resale to boot. I'd take a V8 Stang over the Civic no contest though 😉

Test : 2007 Mustang V6 Manual Trans : 6.6 Seconds 0-60, 15.0 @ 91MPH 1/4, $19,250

Test : 2007 Honda Civic Si Manual Trans : 6.3 Seconds 0-60, 14.9 @ 97.9MPH 1/4, $19,587 Base

Good luck finding a Civic Si for under $20k new.

I test drove one when it first came out and the sales lady sat behind me(smooth). Now I'm not a tall guy(5'8") but I was almost in the steering wheel with her behind me. Its small.

my GF's gay friend that works for Hallmark has one....enough for you to not buy one now?

Plus, kids like to throw on some rims for some reason...uggos!

I'm sure that somewhere there is a gay man who owns a Camaro...or, more likely, a jacked up pickup truck....where were you going with this? 😕

A Toyota Supra TT would spank the crap out of that bloated Pontiac in your sig. Hell, a Lexus IS350 would spank your car too.

I don't know... those rusty tail pipes sticking half a foot from that nice green bumper look like they mean business.

BTW - I was wondering when you would start posting in this forum. Very entertaining.

Ironically, considering 0-60 times and 1/4 mile times, so would the Scion TC, Camry/Camry Solara, Avalon, Rav4, FJ Cruiser, Highlander, Sienna, Tundra, Tacoma, ES350, GS350/450h, LS460/600h, SC430, RX350/400h, LX570. 1993 Bonneville SSEs were slow.

Now this is assuming the Bonniville Supercharged with a motor in perfect condition and accounting for a little hp increase with the Jet chip. Taking the likely scenario that the car has lost half a step in quickness over the last 15 years, a IS250, Sequoia/Landcruiser, GX470, any Toyota Lexus actually besides the Prius, Corolla/Matrix and Yaris.

I was looking at a tC a year ago. My mother told me they looked "cute". I bought a Mazda6. Don't regret it a bit.
