I'm not afraid of death. Once I'm dead, either I'm dead forever or my soul goes on to (hopefully) a higher plane of existence. No biggie.

HOWEVER, I am afraid of pain, gunshot wounds, dismemberment, general overall agony, etc. <shudders>

Seeing a friend or loved one die or be tortured without being able to do anything about it.

Being a connoisseur is not that same thing as being willing to occasionally root through the dumpster for something to eat. :p

I don't have a pathological hatred of her like some here do, but she's really not a particularly good-looking woman.

I fear that if I post my single greatest fear someone will hunt me down and carry it out.

She's not even a remotely good-looking woman. In fact, is she a woman???

A terrifying thought here as well. Kids really change your perspective on things not to mention how your worry meter jumps up significantly!

Edit: no, wait. Paralysis or asphyxation are fearsome, too.

Yeah, paralysis would be horrible.
I'm more afraid of wasting away than having a horrific accident.

Do not be afraid of death, as I have stated before, death is just like going to sleep, there is nothing "on the other side", what you should fear is how you die.

Yes, because you know exactly what it is like to die and what comes after.

Well.. my old fear was dying a virgin.. but that cant happen anymore. so i'd say, being captured while in an enemy territory as a member of the us army.
