at zeze's request i have decided to post this poll. i think the results will be enlightning and the debates will be lively.

dont worry this is an anonymous poll

include cash only (base salary, bonuses, commissions, etc). dont include retirement matches or anything like that. just coldhard cash.

and just for this past year, not your best year ever or what you think you are worth.

and dont add on your spouses income.

including (potential) bonuses? 401k match? etc? or just base salary? additional information needed such as locality, profession, etc?

this many

BTW the question is already stupid, because if you don't count retirement and such or anything the result can sway a lot depending on how much you decide to put in and where.

you can count the money you put into retirement, just not retirement matches or pensions from the company.

I voted honestly. Hope you do too, just to get a real result. :)

I've been in three of those categories just this year: I was in one at the beginning of the year, dropped down two categories when I went part-time instead of full-time, then went back up a category a couple weeks ago when I got a raise. I don't really know what my actual income will say this year, but I voted based on what it is right now.

I make under $40k. don't care who knows but I do pretty well with it really, I think anyway, own a home, just bought another brand new car, every TV in the house is over 32", laptops, nice gaming rig, ipad, 2 consoles, buy any game i want and just purchased a 680gtx directcu 2 should be here tomorrow I hope. heck i'm happy in life.
But I have a credit score of over 800 too so that helps. I always tell younger guys to work on that credit as soon as you turn 18.

I'm good with money but I don't always put it where my wife would prefer, like I do need a new bedroom set and kitchen table, but i chose to buy a graphics card, microwave and lots of other things i didn't really need instead.
I have my priorities and I guess replacing a squeaky boxspring mattress and the like isn't one of them.:awe:

*crap, I hope the IRS doesn't see this thread...yeah, was kidding guys I only make $12k. prove me wrong!
