I could actually tell you my real online banking password and ID and you wouldn't be able to do a damned thing with it.

But then again my pin is only 4 digits so I'd rather not risk it.

But on top of that they will throw a security question at you if it is th first time they have seen your computer or IP

we have something different here in Denmark, it's called NemID (easyID), it's basically a countersign deal where you you log in with your SSN and a personal password in a java applet, the system then returns a string of numbers and you reply with a countersign you can see on a card they sent you (you can also buy an electronical one if you want to), it's a one time key so even if you're a dumbass with an infected computer you're all good.

Assuming Data is capable of generating random numbers, it's weird that there are so many 7s and so few zeroes and letters.

I actually have a card like that for my US Treasury account, they mailed it to me after I opened my account.

When I was in the military, you couldn't even get on the sharepoint site without a smart card reader attached to your computer.
