What is your monthly gas budget/cost?

~$120 per month depending on gas prices of course. I get 28-30MPG in my Mazda3s. But I also carpool with my roommate so he pays me $40 each month which is a hell of a deal for him. The reason it isn't half is because I drive for work as well as give him a ride, so the $120 isn't just going to work and back.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say.

its really good fuel injector cleaner, the cleaner they are and the less carbon the fuel has to bypass you will gain some mpg

No, no, I know what the product is... I've bolded the part that confused me.

$1,400 per month

1,600 mile commute <shrugs>

6 cyl Caravan 22 mpg.

$139.32/mo so far this year.

'96 Integra GSR.

25mpg with roof rack and bikes, 30mpg while roof rack off (large percentage of my driving is to go mountain biking)

Probably about $100 a month, '00 Grand AM SE 2.4l. I usually fill up about twice a week, which is only about $10 per fill-up. I don't like to be any lower than 1/2 tank of gas.

I drive 600 miles per week for my commute (2400 per month), and I spend about $120 per week on gas ($480 per month). My wife drives 250 miles per week, and spends about $160 per month on gas.

$640 per month.

EDIT:
Wife's car is a Saturn L100 (4 cylinder) that gets about 24 city and 32 highway.
I split my mileage between a 1994 Dodge Dakota that gets 14 city, 18 highway, and a 2002 Chrysler Sebring conv. that gets 23 city 27 highway.

Over the last 1.5 years (I had a big life change then, so my statistics are only valid that far back), I have averaged 811.20 miles/month. I have also averaged 29.93 mpg. I drive a 2002 Honda Civic in mostly all city miles (I am kindof disappointed with its mileage, but still 30 mpg city isn't too bad). Thus, I've averaged 27.10 gallons/month.

Assuming the price is $2.50/gallon, my budget is $67.76/month.

Yes, I do keep track of my miles this carefully. No, for some reason I've never kept track of the price of the gas.

I've heard you say that before. Is there any way possible for you to use a more fuel efficient vehicle? If suppose you bought a Civic or a Corolla (or heck, a Prius), you'd save $700/month. You can buy one of those for FAR, FAR less than $700/month.

I have a Honda Accord V6 and drive about 45 miles each day. So thats about like $35-40 on gas every week. I get around 27-29mpg which is good considering the engine and size of this car. I wish I had a Honda Civic Hybrid though 😀

2006 Mazda3 Hatch, about 2 fillups a month...$40-$50

Last 6 fillup stats:
Miles --- Gallons --- MPG --- Date
288.1--- 11.477 --- 25.1 6/29
243.9--- 9.234 ---- 26.41 7/04
323.7--- 11.37 ---- 28.5 7/22
266.7--- 7.30 ----- 36.6 8/1
245.5--- 7.79 ---- 31.5 9/2
235.0--- 6.702 --- 35.1 9/4

I live check to check as it is, no way I could afford a car payment.

If the old clunker dies, I'm dead in the water. It will have 200,000 miles by end of the year.

No. You can't afford to NOT have a better mileage car. Even selling that vehicle for a cheaper vehicle with better mileage will save you hundreds of dollars a month.

A mid 90s Prizm would cost ~$2000-$2500. And it'll save you $500/month. In 4-5 months the thing would pay for itself. In 1 year, the gas savings would earn you a a free Prizm plus a free $3500. How can you afford NOT to accept the free Prizm and free $3500 every year?
