I have a gmail account for business related work since it has an address I didn't create when I was 14, and my hotmail for crap I don't need or care about

For personal, I have my own domain and the e-mail is hosted on my brother-in-law's server (It is nice having family in the IT business). It use to be hosted on my server at home, but I retired that a few years ago.

I have multiple gmail accounts that all forward to my main account (like the one I use on AT). I especially use them for CraigsList transactions.

For work, we have our own domain and the e-mail is hosted by a service (but not our ISP).

I also have an e-mail address for Sudhian (where I am a moderator) that has a sudhian.com domain, but the web interface is through gmail.

Finally, I have a Yahoo account that I never really use but keep active "just in case".

All in all, I have 7 e-mail accounts that I check regularly. I access all of them as described above through Mac Mail (using IMAP where possible).

This thread inspired me to recheck some of my old e-mail addresses and account.

My Hotmail account is still active, though I NEVER use it or get any mail there.

I also checked on my two cia.com addresses (see this thread.) However, the link in the OP appears to be dead. Did it get shut down?

EDIT: So, the site is down, so I guess you cannot sign up for new accounts or adjust the settings, but both my cia.com accounts are still forwarding e-mails.

Gmail, I forward university email to it also. We only get 150mb of storage for our university email, forward it to gmail, now I get 7.3gb of storage. 🙂 And it's surprising the amount of colleagues that haven't figured out they can forward their mail and not have to deal with deleting crap from your univ email every week.

Be carefull, I did this and when I graduated I lost control of the university email account, but it still forwarded everything to me for the next year and a half!

Gmail. I hate using so many google applications, I'm sure they could write a book on me by now. However, their email client works too damn well.

ISP mail. I have outlook express connected to my ISP. I like having the messages on my PC. I still have messages from 1997.
I got a gmail account, but forward all my gmail messages to my ISP account.
I usually give out my gmail address, for the last year or so, when I sign up somewhere.

By "be careful" do you mean don't forget to kill the forward and close your University account before you graduate?

😉
