I like speed. I don't want to wait for something else to load. Also many times I'm typing an address and the loading page takes the cursor away or moves the cursor back to the beginning of the address line. Either way it messes up what I was typing. Thus blank is the only way to go.

A custom page that contains all my frequently used links. If I don't want to sift through my Favorites, I just click Home, and there they all are.

this is one of the reasons i hate IE. firefox doesn't have this problem.
