What is your favourite kind of apple?

IMO, Red delicious, while having a decent flavor, are one of the worst of the many apples available.

Pacific Rose, which is only available for a very short time, is my favorite, followed by honeycrisps, pink lady's, braeburns, and fuji's. (and probably several others I've failed to name)

Bear in mind the last time I ate apples I was in elementary school, so I don't have much to go off of here. I should give it another shot, but I'm somewhat apple averse now. Biting through the skin is like nails on a chalkboard

Funny you mention this. The other day a coworker was eating some apple and I mentioned granny smith being full of win. Apparently I am the only one who eats them normally. Everyone was like "yeah great for cooking" and thought no one actually ate them normally. Hmm, guess I've had it wrong all along!
