Trombone. I played with my Bone from 5th grade all the way through college. In college there were so many Bones we had to break into groups and play with the other people around us.

Oboe pwns all. I love the sound of it.

Incredibly hard to play too.

<takes a bow>

Yeah, tough call for me here... let's see... ummm... YES OBOE PWNS ALL!!! Yes, it's a tough instrument, but well worth the effort!

(<-- goes back to coding to edgy, pumping oboe music -- nothing like some period instrument Vivaldi concerti!)

I played French Horn from 6th grade through high school.

Sometimes, when the piece called for it, I would also fill in on Tenor/Bass Sax.

At first the music teacher/director didn't like me playing both, since they require two different embouchures, but since I managed to be decent enough on both instruments she let me keep going with both.

I heard an on-stage performance of a bass flute once. It is by far the best sounding wind instrument in my opinion.

That got a half smirk on my face. 2/10. Better than nothing I guess.

Umm, I played trombone in junior high and high school, but that made me crack a smile
