I'm a Firefox guy, but the stealth mode in Safari is pretty cool! Why don't the other browsers have that?

I was just curios because my old roommate and I have been fighting about browsers lately. He's an Opera guy and I'm FF. I tried opera awhile back and I loved the speed, tab preview, and the overall look of it but I just ran into to many incompatibilities with it. I may actually go back and try it out again.

I'm actually surprised so many people have responded to this post.

That's what polls are for, polling. It's unfortunate you need a microsoft hating internet nerd to point out the simplest of things.

As far as I'm aware it does the same thing as this (linking to this because I couldn't find a run down like this directly for safari)

http://www.usefulzero.com/2007...alth-mode-for-firefox/

that's pretty misleading. it does nothing to hide your identity from the internet, only the history of your porn browsing on that machine. some of it will limit functionality and performance (cookies, cache, yeah i need those). if the machine is plugged into a router, then this does almost nothing.

Although Opera is the fastest and use the cache effectively, little bugs piss me off enough to not use it. Firefox is winner by default.

What do you mean hide your identity? Opera's stealth mode runs through a proxy?

There's only one Microsoft browser on the list. A total of eight options...

Really? Opera has a built in but somewhat hidden urlfilter.ini which works great, and actually blocks popups and popunders which I have gotten in firefox despite it's adblocking plugin being set up and running.
