Thats the official name, but lets face it, it is still a fucking miata.

Not that there's anything wrong with miatas...wish I had one. :awe:

It just always confuses me when I see that on here, it's been an MX5 over here since it's inception.

Wow you have terrible taste in cars, with the exception of the Cosworth. Which one of these atrocities do you own?

Ferrari 458 is sick, as is the predecessor, the 360 Modena.

R8 is the best top end non-supercar in my book.

At least he's the only person to have sincere favorite cars and doesn't just post the most expensive cliche exotics like everybody else does in every ATG thread.

Usually these threads aren't about a person's genuine favorite cars. They degenerate into a pissing contest to see who can Google the most expensive or rarest supercar to 1-up the previous submission.

Are we talking sporty cars or true sports cars? Any of the higher end Porsche 911 models, Corvette, Ford GT and the GTR.

For one that I could reasonably purchase, I've had my eye on a Jaguar XKR convertible around 2005 or so. I could probably get a nice one for around $20k. It's nearly an exotic considering they were around $90k new a few years ago. It's just beautiful and classy, the engine sounds great too. Except for that steering wheel. It's got the steering wheel of an Oldsmobile.

If cost were no object, well, you've seen everyone else's lists. Mine looks something like that. 458, Aventador, etc..

I like any sports car that I can trade in on a Ford F150. Yeah, I'm that much of a redneck. Though I did drive a very sexy looking Porsche about 40 feet. No idea what it was, other than small and turbo charged.

Corvette Z06 or Mustang Shelby GT 500 (2011 up)

Why?

Because these are bad ass cars that are realistic and maybe I can afford :p

Something I could afford? I have it already. ;)

Other than that? I really like Ferraris - I'd have to have a shitload of disposable income to even consider buying one, though.

I've always loved the S2000 but in my opinion its not aging well particularly with the hard to mod aspect for it.

To me the favorite sports car is the one that is paid off, reliable, easy and not too pricey to fix, a slight rarity level to it like a special edition or option on the car that isn't typically on the car. It might not be the fastest on the road, but it can hold its own or was best in class for the dollar.

When you put all that together I would feel special driving it and would respect the car for what it is.

Cars in mine would be: 996/997 911's or GT3's
Probably a Cayman with LSD
C5 Z06
If I ever drove one in America, E46 M3 CSL
GTR
R8

everything else seems to be almost too exotic for me that doesn't represent anything but a toy, i wouldn't turn it down but I wouldn't like to own it long term.

Favorite is the E-Type Jag.

I'm also partial to Triumph TR6, MGB GT V-8, Austin Healey 100, Lotus Europa, Fiat 124 Spyder and the X1/9, and the Volvo P1800 and P1800ES.
