Animals/Wish You Were Here, tied
DSOM
The Wall

Of course, we spent hours upon hours listening to each as each was released...........and still continue to listen to them decades after their release. What was interesting was DSOM was in the Top 100 album sales for over a decade.......more than you can say for the current crop of "musical artists" that exist today.

Makes me want the mid-'60's through mid-'70's to return, at least the music and originality that existed then.

Wish You Were Here was the first one that I purchased - Shine On You Crazy Diamond will always be my original Floyd first love.

DSOTM, and on that note, it goes pretty good w/ the Wizard of Oz, the first play through it at least.

How does Echoes have 1 vote?

A greatest hits album has all the great songs of all the albums. (That's what makes it a Greatest Hits 🙂)

I vote Echoes, but if greatest hits don't count, I vote Dark Side.

Animals/Dark Side of the Moon/Wish You Were Here/Obscured By Clouds/Piper at the Gates of Dawn/The Wall
I can guarantee on any given day it will be one of those.

Wish You Were Here.

A Pink Floyd greatest hits collection doesn't make any sense to me, since most of their albums are so conceptual. It's kind of jarring to hear most of their stuff played without the context of the rest of the album.

Dogs = :thumbsup:

And after a while, you can work on points for style,
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye, and an easy smile,
You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in!

It has to be DSOTM, without a doubt. Lyrically, conceptually, and musically their finest work.

Keep in mind, DSOTM was truly a collaborative effort amongst all the band members, with each member contributing something to the album. Later albums were largely influenced by Waters and to a lesser extent Gilmour, with Mason and Wright contributing less and less.

Other than for the lack of Mason's input on WYWH, I think they're about equal. For a true group effort, that would be Meddle IMHO.
