Under Armour or Timberland.

I like a cotton/poly blend. Not too thick or tall.

Black with jeans, white with shorts.


Head to Marshalls and try on a half dozen and decide what you like best.

edit: for reference, I bought a bunch of long tan socks as well as a bunch of short white socks about 5 years ago. I tend to buy socks in batches so they are mostly the same and I don't have to worry about paring them up. All are still going strong. Quality socks really do make a difference.

for work I wear Smartwool, medium weight hikers, and clogs. Yes, I live in Texas. They are about 16-18 bucks a pair but last about two years.

I run in the adidas socks, 6 pack from Costco
