I am looking to try different animals, I usually only eat chicken, cow, and pig(not including ocean life). I am interested what else out there would be good to eat, deer?, buffalo?, horse?, snake???? I just got done watching the food network, and they were in I think Peru, and they were eating guinea pig, it actually looked very good.
So far the only meat I can eat on a daily basis without getting tired of is chicken.

Out of the second series you mentioned, I like venison the most. Beef is my favorite meat.

Pork Loin. They sell them seasoned at Sam's Club. But different than chicken, cow or a pig, deer sausage and deer jerky are pretty good.

Venison is great. Very low fat and can be used for just about anything. Fried, chili, stew, jerky... you name it!

Can't wait for the chance to fill my freezer again in a couple weekends!!!

Other than the big three you mentioned (chicken, beef, pork), some tasty birds and mammals are black bear, bison, duck, moose, elk, turkey, rabbit, lamb, and venison. Nothing beats a good venison chili on a cold winter day, other than perhaps venison stew. Mmmm.

Beef is my favorite meat by far. If you are looking into wild game, then venison and rabbit are very good. Buffalo is excellent as well, but has a very mild flavor compared to venison.

I'd definitely suggest a stew, then. Super easy to do and if you leave it in the slow cooker for a while it'll basically fall apart in your mouth. Sooooooo good.

The whitetail herd in MN has been overpopulated for quite a few years now and in my part of the state we were able to take up to five females last year! Five is too much but two was the perfect amount for me to always have venison on hand between seasons.

Ooh, if your dad gets one, I'd also recommend venison sticks (beefsticks) and venison brats. Most meat shops will make these up for you with a mixture of pork and they are oh-so-good!

Meat's meat...some is better, some is worse...but it all builds a turd.

Hands down, my FAVORITE meat comes from Cervus canadensis nelsoni. The Rocky Mountain Elk.(although I don't think I'd turn down meat from any of the other subspecies of C. canadensis)

If I had the option, my freezer would be kept full of elk all year...and I'd never eat beef again.

Venison is ok, but just ok. I can take it or leave it. IMO, not really much better than beef. (I've killed and eaten whitetail and mule deer, both bucks and does...whitetail is better than muley, although it really depends on their range and food available)

Buffalo is very good. MUCH leaner than beef, very flavorful, and beefalo is considerably better than beef. IMO, both are better than venison.
I've had black bear a couple of times. It's edible...but not on my list of favorites...(but the fat renders into some wonderful boot grease...just keep them away from jeebus's dog.) :p

Moose. I have a freezer full of it; great stuff.

Rabbit is a close second (wild rabbit; tame ones are tougher than leather...)
