Oh I'm sure you could use it with a PC, but for reaching 2560 x 1600, maybe not so easily.

I have an older Apple 22" cinema at home. Love it, but thinking about the Dell 2001FP for the machine at work, however. I need more vertical space than the 1024 pix the Apple has (1600x1024 vs. 1600x1200 for a standard 20" LCD).

if I am not mistaken it only has an analog input, does the dvi makes a big difference in the monitor's picture quality

There's a model thats around $500 that has the DVI input...

Honestly though, my girlfriend has a 19" Dell LCD that she bought a few months ago for around $1000 which uses dvi output but mine blows hers out of the water. We both have 9800 Pros too so its as fair of a comparision as I can make.

I would say that I liked the 2001fp or the Viewsonic vp211(is that right?) but I really don't prefer such high resolutions. Therefore my vote goes for my Dell 1800FP. I think it's my favorite component of my system. It's a toss up between the LCD and my Klipsch Promedias.
