I keep wanting to watch that....b/c I'll watch just about anything with Eva Greene...but I'm afraid that it will suck donkey scrotum.

is this a proper assessment?

By the synopsis and the presentation, you get the impression that you are about to watch a cool movie where fantasy and reality collide like other similar movies(The Golden Compass, The Matrix, etc). It is intriguing while at the same time dull. Turn to page 264 if you want to see the end. Turn to page 147 if you don't want to watch this movie.

Once you understand what is really going on, you discover that you are naked and bleeding in some alley. You've been mugged. The End.

Are you kidding? The Star Trek universe would suck to live in... Everyone wears goofy clothes and the entire concept of pop culture does not exist. The only things people do for entertainment are watch or act Shakespeare plays and maybe listen to classical music. I think Data took up pottery once. Exciting stuff there...

Actually, pop culture does still exist and anything you do now for fun can still be done then. You don't have to work for a living in the 24th century.

Fox News!

Sure, the story lines aren't believable, but the graphics are amazing! 😀

Uh, this thread isn't asking what universe you'd like to live in, just which one do you like. Otherwise no one would say Warhammer 40k.

Also did you ever watch any Star Trek other than TNG? DS9 had a lot more in the way of entertainment, since it was based on a space station full of civilians instead of a military ship.

Oh and holodecks.

hmm.... i'm gonna go ahead and say Star Trek, Jim

and i'm hitting the holodeck immediately for hookers and blow up in that bitch!

a fantasy world WITHIN a fantasy world. :awe:

wrapped in bacon

I'd live in WH40k, long as I got to live in Ultramar lol

You could be one of many psykers, who will then get whisked away in those black ships. Or Tyranid invasion again, or Orks, or Dark Eldar. 40k Universe would suck. Anything and everything can happen that causes you to die in horrible manners.

Also more 40k art. Not many settings have this much quality art which is a reason I love the setting.

I assumed it was implying that it was a place I'd want to live. If it's just a place I like, then Rapture from Bioshock hands down. I almost picked that anyway with the caveat that it was pre-meltdown.

Either or. Listing both works.

Thinking about it more, the Mechwarrior and Macross franchises would be neat.

It'd be tough to choose a particular group, there are so many awesome bases. White Scars/Rough Riders are basically Mongols in space. Catachans are a goddamned army of Rambos. Space Wolves are vikings, Valhallans are Russians, and so on. It seems like half their army ideas were taking some of the most famous armies in history and throwing them in space.

Well that's the point. There's something for everybody. Anything you want you can do in 40k.
