He was on camera doing some public appearance thing and was ordering lunch at some 'typical' home town type restaurant and asked for dijon mustard (or something similar) and a few people on TV made a joke out of it and then it blew up into this big non-event.

Especially since they weren't really serious when they went after Obama for his choice of mustard, they were actually making a joke about how uptight some people are about Obama.

The leader of TYT, Cenk Uygur, is a hardcore liberal and he dislikes how Obama doesn't seem to follow through on any liberal policies. Obama didn't bring UHC, he didn't bring non-profit government insurance to compete against private insurance (public option), he didn't roll with the idea of expanding medicare to cover more people; Obama's healthcare didn't work at all. It also seems like Obama wants to regulate things then doesn't, or he'll try to negotiate with republicans even though his party has a majority and doesn't need to negotiate anything. He is a horrible president. The republicans don't like his ideas, and the democrats are frustrated that he can't get anything done.

He's less likely to change when people don't care about real issues. Mustard is not an issue. Fishing is not an issue. Not knowing how to lead your party is a real issue.

There are a lot of real issues as you said. But ask Uygar how he feels about Obama versus any national Republican, including Bush or McCain.
