What is your fav Aftershave Balm?

I tried using Aqua Velva and while I like the scent its too strong. Even after I wash it off it can still overwhelm.

Now I just use Aveda shave cream and its all I need. Pre shave, shave, and after shave. Moisturizes and smooths and smells really good as well.

They also have an aftershave, but its twice as expensive and you really dont need it.

Only tried Nivea. But I usually shave in the shower and just use Dove moisturizing soap on my face after.

Heard good things about Facial Fuel but that stuff's too expensive.

I prefer straight after shave...lots of alcohol to really make me notice any nicks... 😱

I suppose that since Novembeard and Decembeard are over, I SHOULD stand a bit closer to my razor...and maybe go make a pilgrimage to my barber again...

what? You're too overly macho to moisturize and use creams? what kind of leather-faced and ashy dude r U? the overly macho type? please man, putting cream on your already dead skin cells is a good thing, especially after a shave. you should get over yourself, move on and moisturize. chicks dig dudes that use these products and it makes sense. But maybe your prepubescent face only has peach fuzz so it really doesn't matter, but my mug gets dry son, so I apply cream.

This and I have had no problems.

Granted I have not used a normal razor for a good 10+ years and instead use electric but when I did use a razor I only used some shaving gel and that was more then enough.

Never heard of that balm thing but I've been using Aqua Velva Ice Blue for aftershave for the last 30+ years. Also Polo occasionally.

I don't get it, is it not fashionable to use aftershave or something?

Most people I know don't use aftershave for the cologne in it, but to sterilize any nicks or what not. The scent in any decent aftershave isn't too strong and doesn't last too long.
