I want Tribes to come back - just with updated graphics.

I'd like an actual tennis game where people weren't diving every 5 seconds and had a realistic volleying system.

and I would like a videogame based around the snl character Macgruber

Just a thought.

Isnt is sad that with all the amazing graphics capability the PC has today, that mainly what we get are casual games and console ports?? For instance, what is the most graphics intense game today: GTAIV probably. Was it developed for the PC to use its graphics to the fullest-- no it is just a badly converted console port.

Think about it. What was the last cutting edge game developed for the PC, Crysis maybe? Even that game's developers are no longer developing specially for the PC.

PC gaming is not dead, but in my mind, it certainly has taken a back seat to consoles, casual games and MMOs. (Yes thats right, i hate MMOs.)

At least Blizzard is developing Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 for the PC, but I doubt that these will open up any new ground graphically, although hopefully they will be good games.

A E:TW like game for the WWII era .The battles could be played in either FPS mode or like company of heroes without the pop-limit stuff.

Modern Warfare, Fall Out 3, and Left 4 Dead to name a few, and their PC versions IMO look far better than what any console could push. I always found PC games more robust and capable than any console, and it's more than just graphics. I'm also speaking more of functionality and user control interfacing (not just the physical input devices).

You don't need every game to be bloat ware, or when you have to make 1,000 dollar upgrades just to play it the way you want. This mentality is unrealistic and non sustainable.

I'd take a working E:TW, that's a dream game that doesn't exist.

Resistance 2 except a more open sandboxed world, futureistic era storyline. some of the human technologies in that game does not belong in a 1953 era much less 2050, It could make a nice Halo killer and open up the storyline to fight on other planets too.
The scene where the entire city of SA is besieged with hundreds of alien air ships and those monstrous warships covering the sky in the morning sun was freaking awesome, i just wished it was interactive and had missions where you steal alien vessels and board the warships to destroy them among other things.
would be nice to see alien A.I. more tactful in their attacks and not just suicide rambo in attempts to kill ya. i'd also like to see ability to operate various alien crafts as well as tanks..etc would be fun as well to break up fps monontany.
though its still a great and fun game as it is, just wish it wasnt so linear and scripted.

A game that models the entire United States (or even a single state, city) in good detail (same landmarks, same buildings, same intersections, etc) and lets you traverse it with licensed vehicles. Great way to get to know roads and pretend to crash into your own house.

Hmm this would be nice.

I'm bored so I'll script my idea for that game:

It would be like Oblivion with Mechs. It would be first person, non-linear, massive game world, with content added as expansions. There would be an extensive economy and barter system and very advanced computer AI with semi-scripted randomized events happening to give the feel of a living, breathing world.

Your mech would be a major part of the game. Repair, parts, upgrades and everything would be very intensive and deep but hopefully wouldn't be too boring.

You would have to join a clan to finish the game as you would need teammates and help to do the missions.

modeling NYC in gta 4 costed millions, i'd hate to see how many billions and how many years it would take to model the USA just so you can drive around and crash into your house. i suppose doing so would also include killing a 3d model of you while playing a video game as blood splatters the screen? sure why not

I havent fired the game up yet since the new release of the patch - Im afraid. All I know is that your saved games go to crap after each major patch so plan on starting again.

Hm, I also forgot about one of my "ideas".

A pyro-mania game. Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 had an editor for particle effects where you could create your own explosions, shells, and such. There's a site that specializes on just this part of the game (forgot the url but you can Google "rctpyro" for it. People made shows, some very realistic and entertaining, using this editor provided by the RCT3 game.

A sim- firework game would be awesome. The problem is that there is actual professional software for designing shows that the real pros use that range in the thousands of dollars. If they make a game based solely on pyro designing and sell it for 50 dollars, the publishers will likely end up in a law suit. Obviously a 50 dollar game is not going to be as robust as the professional software, but people might actually use it for computer aided designing.

I want a game along the lines of say, Anno 1404, but one that includes lots of empire building and combat.

Essentially, Age of Empires meets Caesar 3 meets Supreme Commander (size maps). I would jizz at that.

I would also jizz at a Total War done in real time. Something like this has been done before, see Knights of Honor

Screenshot of the campaign map
And another

And Another

Basically, CA should make a game like what they did. Tbh, the game is just about total war, it even has zoomed down real time-tactics modes like Total War. However, graphically, it is inferior, especially in regards to those real time battles TW has. Other than that, just as deep a strategy experience can be gained from Knights of Honor, perhaps an even deeper one. And, I think the screenshots of the campaign map look great (and this was released by a poor Polish developer around 4 years ago). The water's shit, but that's alright, the map itself is very detailed, almost like an art piece.

I still don't get how CA puts out a terrible RTS like stromrise, and yet doesn't consider something like my idea yet.
