A game like Oblivion but without all the zombies and demons. There would still be magic, just not mindless enemies that aggro for no reason. Interactions with individual npcs would actually be meaningful and influence them specifically. In games like Stalker, when you kill someone, the entire faction somehow knows immediately. Instead of interacting with an individual npc, it's like interacting with several clones of the same person. I'd also like the ability to take over anything, from buying a shop to taking a kingdom through either force or politics. Also, in cities, there actually needs to be crowds like those in Assassin's Creed, the Oblivion cities and roads felt way too empty and lifeless. This game won't be made anytime soon...

I'd also love a good mmorts (Ikariam with graphics :)), but I can't think of any way that it would play correctly without either rampant griefing or way too many carebear barriers. All the mmorts's I've played have been terrible.

Homeworld 3, Master of Magic 2, Master of Orion 3 (well 4 technically, but after wasting my money on the travesty that was Moo3 my brain has sort of pretended it doesn't even exist).

This is my first post because I really had share my idea on this.

I know that it would be very difficult to design but to combine all of the popular genres of games such as RPG, FPS, RTS and Flight Sim into an all-ecompassing MMO type game for very large scale enviroments. Games such as the Battefield series have barely scraped the surface of this.

My first implementation of this would revolve around a Star Wars geared universe. I never really played galaxies much but I think there is alot that could be renovated on that. I imagine that initially much of the game could be focused on re-creating large-scale engagements of some of the epic battles from the movies. The RPG element could underly everything with character persitance and stat/rank recording like Battlefield 2142. The RPG side of battle could be more of the capital ship crews where certain interactions and duties would need to be performed during battle basically acting as officers. The RTS side could be more of the ship captains and commanders issuing move orders and attack suggestions that pilots could follow or ignore with certain consequences. The FPS element could be added with the advent of docking operations and taking over larger capital ships and defeating other security personnel. This type of battle is only exploring the space battle element.

Multiply the amount of partipants into the thousands and you would have Captains, officers Gunners, Commandos, Pilots, etc and have huge space battles populated by mostly humand players!

I would think that this part of the game would be more action oriented but the stars are the limit. I think that people would love the idea of being in a massive online game but with the ability to jump into a huge battle and make a difference. Skill would be the major determining factor of success but customizablilty and ranks with a plethora of skill trees could add the wild card element.

This is the game that could bring most genres into one

I'd like a game with the map sized scope of Arma1 & 2, animations of mirrors edge and far cry 2 (sliding animation to cover), the physics of half life 2, a dynamic terrain, using Euphoria technology and have it be a FPS & RTS rolled into one.

If it would be a sequel game, Homeworld 3 hands down all the way.

I'd like a Crimson Skies/Sky Captain WOT game combined with the realism of FSX and the mercenary perspective of HAWX set in an alternative WWII ending where Germany wins and is hellbent on conquering the rest of the world and you have to band together with other pilots (AI). So a FS + Strategy + Base Building + Diplomatic + Mercenary...shouldn't be too hard to pull off.

Or a sequel to the Janes military simulators...688I, flight simulators, etc.

FFVII remake for the ps3

I'd go one step further. I'd include the stories from Crisis Core, FF VII, and Advent Children into one big, huge, FF VII RPG. I'd use the Materia system from FF VII for leveling, so that when a character got killed off (Zack and Aeris mainly), the materia and items would persist. I'd add some side stories for some of the less developed characters and some new weapons (similar to the Emerald and Ruby ones) too. Cutscenes would be at least 720p resolution and would be similar in quality to Advent Children Complete on Bluray. I would name the game Final Fantasy VII Complete to go along with the Bluray naming.

1. a mech game that doesn't suck
2. a good space sim that doesn't involve trading and travel, just kickass battles

Another TIE FIGHTER game.

Also I would like to see the original X-COM remade.
System Shock 3 would be great too.

A game like CASTLES or STRONGHOLD with a much stronger combat component. They are focused mostly on building, which is great, but then put those to the test with a real good large scale combat system.

Sort of like CASTLES or STRONGHOLD meets the total war series.

Mine is pretty simple but will never happen.

Just remake Deus Ex and System Shock 2 with updated graphics and i'd gladly buy them both again!

Here is my take to a game developer, please:
- Create a futuristic terminator FPS game where multiplayer gamers are divided into machines vs. humans.

- Give us ability to fly drones, ride bikes, navigate subs or boats, vehicles in general. Someone can drive a vehicle while someone in the back fighting off the enemy (BF series). Players will be able to create bases, set up computer networks, mine fields etc.

- Introduce the virtual reality world a la Matrix in the mix, where machines and humans can fight in a different dimension with different laws of physics (Cron comes to mind).

- Give us a large world with thousands of players defending their own countries. Give me the Operation Flashpoint missions.

- Make the world weather dynamic, changing every hour with night and day. Sand storms, nuclear fallout rains etc. affecting the visibility and tactics during this period of time.

- Create maps with destroyed cities where players can engage in the fights not only against the machines, but another group of players who choose to stay away from the conflict (underground world of mutans hehe). This particular group of players will be fun to play since it will hard to predict which side they can take today or tomorrow.

I'd leave the trading, carrying limit of 50kg a la Fallout out of this game. Exchanging and picking up guns/pipes/knives etc off the ground is a different story. Make a weapon load-out simple and easy to use.

A completely realistic (ie. no arcadey bs) racing simulator based on F1 cars past and present would be great. West Racing was supposed to do their part but I don't think it's happening anymore.

I think I first read about this idea somewhere else on here. I'd like a single player game that takes place in a world like the one in the movie "I Am Legend". Where it could be just one, extremely vast, city. There would be a ridiculous number of areas to explore, and even incorporate the "bad things come out after dark" idea. Where time was somewhat, or exactly real-time. You would have a limited amount of time to stray away from your safe zone. You would have to keep track of how long it took you to get to where you are, away from your safe-zone, and calculate if it was worth the risk to try to continue exploring, or should you head back now or later to reach your safe-zone before it got dark. Hopefully there would be real dangers with real penalties to suffer if you didn't make it back home in time.

There would be other safe-zones around the city you could find, or even perhaps create. Perhaps you would need to re-visit these places multiple times before they were substantial enough to allow you overnight safety.

Just seems like a cool idea to me. I like exploring, and I kinda like doing that kinda stuff solo, ala single player. Nobody else to rely on, etc.

Falcon 5.0
New Syndicate Wars
Duke Nukem Forever (with all of the awesome multiplayer things like tripmines, etc)
Something like WoW, but with realistic terrain and interesting gameplay
Good Apache/Cobra sim
Heavy Gear 3
New Mech Warrior/Commander

My dream game? I've been waiting since Baldurs Gate II and FFVII for a worthy RPG of the same caliber. Or even an MMO that could compare to the likes Everquest in its prime.

Perhaps that day will never come. Nobody seems to want to make a worthwhile D&D RPG anymore.

Right now i would kill for an expansion pack to DoW2 though to keep me busy. SP campaign is just too damn short, and game ends the moment you get terminator armor.

An updated game like the very old Micropose version of magic the gathering called "Duels of the Planeswalkers." You walk around in a 3-D overworld and defeat monsters/level up etc. by beating them at the trading card game. You can also win cards from them to improve your deck, as well as getting cards from other sources like trading with villagers, or finding them in swamps and such. The old game was so much fun, but it was always very buggy and almost impossible to run on a modern OS.

It'd be wicked awesome to have that game but with an additional FPS perspective. Go inside your own ship, walk along all the hallways and floors... Land on planets, and having an entirely immersive experience on land as in space.

It couldn't be too hard to get some solid graphics going. I mean most of it is empty space, so you only really need to render a few ships and the lighting effects from the blasters and explosions. Those few ships should look amazing.

EverQuest, only modernized (better graphics, more complex combat system, more music & voice acting, etc.). A challenging, tough, time-consuming, immersive world that the kiddies wouldn't touch because it's "way 2 hrd n b0r1ng, lolololz!". It would never float financially, but in my dream world where it exists, it would be a wondrous sanctuary from the world's children and other stupids.

I would love love love to see an RPG or MMO based in the Shadowrun universe created by FASA. There were ones for the Sega and SNES created years ago that I loved. I know they have that FPS out now that is supposed to be set in the shadowrun 'verse but its just a damn fps...not immersing at all.

Brilliant.
Get Bethesda to make a Shadowrun game.
But for gods sake make sure you have plenty of Shadowrun fans guiding you in right direction.

I wanted a proper Rifts game but all I got was that stupid nGage title and Fallout 3, which is about 1/100 as interesting as the Rifts universe.

Also, none of the stuff I asked for OVER A YEAR AGO is on the horizon, except for Deus Ex 3.
