Ferrari F430. IMO, it's one of the most beautiful cars ever made.

For a somewhat obtainable, yet definitely dream car I would have to go with a BMW 335xi.

I'd be happy with a Lotus Elise...but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Dream car? I love the Ferrari 599 Fiorano. It would probably be a toss up between that and a Lamborghini Gallardo of some sort.

Edit-Porsche Carrera GT might have to enter into consideration here too.

My other would be Ferrari F40. I used to dream about this car in high school. Had posters and everything.

Yours?

Wow, what are the odds! see that mortuary at 611? My dad opened that in '42, and it was where I was raised. Highland has ALWAYS had the "cruise", back in my day it was the greasers, now it's the cholos,(sp). You do have bars on your windows right?

Wow! Truly amazing. Yea, I remember that place. It used to scare me every time I passed by it lol ;) I don't remember the greasers, but the cholos I do remember. I don't have bars on my windows because I left N.C. a few years ago and moved to Paradise Hills. Sadly, they cracked down on the "cruise" a few years ago, and now there's a city ordinance that stops cruising Sunday nights. :( I miss those days. Are you still in SD?

Greasers, aka the Fonz, etal, when that Impala was new. After my stint in the Army, I lived in North Park, Allied Gardens, and then Del Cerro. When my wife, and I retired, we moved here to Williamsburg, Va. about 5 years ago, talk about culture shock. My dad finally sold the business, just last year, and retired. He now lives in Lakeside. I do fly out to see him, as often as I can. One of my dads hobbies was collecting cars, and at one time he had 27 classics, hence my love for them, see example above. In the early years of my dads business, he also an an ambulance service, Oh, the irony.

It's cheaper, quieter, and more laid back. Our house back in S.D. sold for nearly 700k, the new one here at twice the size was less than 400k, when your no longer working, the extra bank helps. The area is filled with never ending historical sites to visit, and in one, or two days drive we can be in Maine, or Florida. Oh, and the grandkids live just up the road in Fredericksburg, so I really had no choice, The wife drug me.

Makes sense now ;) So you must have sold the place during the boom here in SD. GJ  Glad to hear. I have thought long and hard about moving, but i love this city too much. I am an avid surfer, so this place is absolutely perfect for me and my family, save the cost of living.
