Bascically, there are two cars I dream about owning.

1) AC Cobra, convertable. However, unlike you I want a nice (metal) kit cuz I wanna driver it everyday. I would be too nervous to drive a real one. I'd have a fvckin heart attack if it got a door ding.

2) Ford GT.

(Sometimes I do dream about having a 67/68 Shelby Cobra - Mustang too.)

Hey Fern...

Nothing wrong with a 'kit'....but the topic did say 'Dream' ;)

I've seen some very nice AC Kits. I even saw one with a CHEVY 427 (would be my preference) that was running straight pipes that sounded so damn good I nearly jizzed myself. One thing I've noticed on some of the kits was the fit/finish of the metal bodies. Edges of the doors weren't even close to smooth and tons of ripples (not orange peel, ripples). But overall, they are certainly acceptable.

Whichever car never gets broken and is always fixed for free. Is that the Bentley or the Rolls Royce?

Ford GT....yeah there are faster cars, more exotic cars, and cars that are better bang for the buck (ie Z06)...I've always liked the looks of the GT40's that won LeMans, and this modern interpretation seems true to it's heritage.

So does it have to be a car that's completely impractical and most likely never to become a reality? My dream car is a subdued 4 door people carrying hatchback rice rocket.
